![]() ![]() And although we all fall short of his glory and grace, we will pray and work by his power that He might be glorified in us, and us in him. We care deeply about the glory of God in every sphere of our lives and the lives of the men that we serve. We are united by the gospel, reformed in theology, and serving in Christ' continuing unfolding mission for his glory. To live “Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam” unites and integrates us as a collective. Every thought, every deed, every action and inaction, all of life is contemplated and surrender to Christ for the greater glory of God. Moreover, we remind ourselves that the entirety of our lives is to be affected by Christ' lordship and spirit. It is is our chief end to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. “Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam” (AMDG) is our pursuit in life, and reminder that “All of Life” is to be lived “All for Christ”. Everything we do as a collective is “so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified” in us and us in him, according to the grace of God and Christ revealed in the gospel. When you see us use, or refer to the letters AMDG, we are reminding ourselves of the gospel we preach and the purpose by which we serve, work, and labor in a variety of our callings. “To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1:11–12 ![]() We want to bridge the gap between the sacred/secular divide among men, and we want to recover the mission and purpose of God in covocational ministry among men. We desire to see All of Life to be lived All for Christ. Our “Why?” as a collective is embodied in this tool and man. He saw his calling and work as sacred before God, and went so far to stamp the letters AM+DG on each original Halligan Tool to ensure the glory of his tool and work went to God and God alone (for more AMDG see below). These heavy-duty tools were designed to pound, puncture, pry, twist. Hugh Halligan, however, was a humble man, and a deeply devoted man of faith in Christ and God. Hooligan (halligan type) tools are traditionally used in forcible entry situations. Though the tool has made a massive impact upon the fire service in notoriety, functionality, and impact, still many people do not know much about the man behind the tool. The Halligan tool, is “THE” single handed most important forcible entry tool in the fire service, and every firetruck in South Florida carries one. The man is Hugh Halligan, and the tool is the Halligan tool, as originally advertised here. One ordinary man with one ugly bar impacted every working firefighter for the last 80 years. ![]()
